It’s Wizaaaaaaard Week!

I was trying to make it look like Oprah was introducing it. Too bad about her network, am I right? Oh well, that lady’s got tons of money, she’s gotta spend it somehow. Stedman can’t spend it all on his…OWN. See what I…? Eh…that was awful. Let’s move on to something relevant to you.

Tip tip tip of the week: Make it count!

Goal: 350 Athletics pledges aaaaaaand the good doer form.

Update: Rugby. Man…how could I possibly learn about something like Rug-LIKETHIS.

Dress Code Reminders: None. You all look beautiful all of the time always.

In Weird News: This man is the saddest man. This is the Mark of the Beast that Revelation warned about. I know it.

THE MTM WAS AMAZING. It was like a little taste of Girls’ Camp.

Caller of the Weeeeeeeek: Kendra Brown, ya’ll. She’s so good.

Next Week….look out for some possible reminder calls.

C-Pete. Out. 2012.

To Infinity and Beyond!!!!

Ok, so I know Buzz isn’t the typical superhero that you think of but he is my favorite! In case you missed this week or you were living under a pile of Kryptonite, this week was Superhero week! It was pretty awesome! Here’s the rundown of what happened; Kryptonite moving, Dodgeball with that kryptonite, and flying like real superhero’s!!! Ok, so one of those things was probably not as real as the others but the week still rocked! I know for a fact that many of the telefunders saw “The Avengers” at midnight, and it has been heard around town (or my Facebook news feed) that it is the best movie of all time!

I think the more important thing is to congratulate the real hero’s of the Telefund this past week! Thanks to all of our coaches! You guys are all awesome!

  • Ethan
  • Stacia
  • Kendra
  • Travis
  • Justin
  • Brittany
  • Chelsea
  • Rob
  • Kalisha
  • Danielle
  • Estelle
  • Valerie
  • Brian

You guys did a great job and our new callers are all hitting the ground running and are all going to be Callers of the week in the near future!  Keep up the good work! Lets have a great week!

In your near future..

Soon, we will have the privilege of calling for BYU Athletics.

What does this mean, you ask?

This means that it is OUR job to make sure that we get these athletes some scholarships. SO how about we call prospects that already dig BYU sports?

  • Cougar Club Members
  • Basketball and Football Season Ticket Holders
  • Cougar Mail Subscribers
  • And more!

BYU sports are fantastic, don’t get me wrong. But maybe if we raked in some more dough for the Athletics department we’d get an unstoppable team in EVERYTHING next year. You with me? ARE YOU WITH ME? Good. Go Cougs.

Cosmo wants us to raise more money for athletics.

The JIMMER & the Blue Men of BYU (aka my cousin and his friends) want us to raise more money for BYU Athletics.

So RISE AND SHOUT for our upcoming campaign!!

(If you literally rise and shout this info to your monitor, you’ll prolly get a telebuck.)

This Week At The Telefund: Business Time

Cake*

Here’s all the business-y stuff happening at the Telefund this week. If you are able to tell your monitor about this post and its contents in your monitoring session this week, you get 4 telebucks. Tell them Callie said so. Actually…tell them…Brett said so…or Justin. Just get your telebucks after reading this, sucka.

  • TIP O’ THE WEEK: Putting in the Authorization Code for a double designation. So…say you’re just talking to this old person about how crazy things are on campus and how that cemetery in Springdale is just too picky about epitaphs or whatever. And they decide to give. Yay! You love it when they give. They love it when they give. “Giving of yourself and resources is the best way to establish a lasting connection,” you think to yourself. Sure glad this old lady is giving, she’s great. BUT THEN, she’s all like, “Well, I studied Plants, but my husband studied Rock Sciences, I’d like to give to both of these places in one go.” “Aw shoot,” You’re thinking (because you’re unprepared…seriously, what is your deal?), but then inspiration hits you. From somewhere. Where did this come from? This thought…How did I…? Was it the MTM? Was I actually listening during annoucements instead of playing that weird balloon popping game that Callie doesn’t understand? YES. That was it. So after you waste a ton of time thinking to yourself (YOU THINK WE PAY YOU TO THINK? WELL GUESS WHAT? WE DON’T PAY YOU, THE CHURCH DOES. ALSO…YES, THEY DO PAY YOU TO THINK. THAT MAKES YOU A VALUABLE AND IMPORTANT PART OF OUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT.), you realize that all you half to do is to process one pledge normally, making sure to input any credit card information prior to saving, and then click the “New” tab on the Financial screen and processing the other pledge, again, checking to make sure the credit card info is inputted. Then, Mrs. Studied Plants shocks you and is all, “Can I pay on a credit card?” And you’re all, “What? Old people don’t like credit cards over the phone…they use cash they save under mattresses…” Well shame on you. Don’t judge people. Geez. So she wants to pay on a credit card. Guess what? You can process both donations in ONE transaction on the credit card machine. You take the total of the two and use that amount when you process the card. THEN, when you get that receipt, you take the authorization code and input it into the Memo line of the financial screen for BOTH pledges. One auth code. TWO pledges.
  • GOAL: This has everything to do with the tip ever. We are working to balance this week. Cindy (a lovely lady upstairs) has to deal with a ton of extra busy work when we don’t balance. I mean, so…I guess we’re keeping her job secure in that we provide work for her to do and make her a valuable asset, but Cindy’s got better junk to do than take care of our careless mistakes. Make sure you are inputting credit card information prior to processing and that you are also doing the same with the auth code in the Memo line of the pledge screen before saving.
  • UPDATE: It’s Women’s Conference, y’all! Get your lady business on! No…wait. That came out weird. Just…whatever…here’s a link to some information about this years’ conference.
  • Dress Code Reminder: (because I know you all love the dress code) No hoodies, nerds. If I can’t wear hoodies, you can’t. And I flipping love hoodies. No hoodies.
  • Cats
  • Here’s a Japanese Proverb: “Life without endeavor is like entering a jewel mine and coming out with empty hands.” Go play some Bejeweled! Kidding. Sorry. Go live life with purpose.
  • No Caller of the Week….YET. Will it be YOU next week???
  • No Good Doer….YET…Will you be good this week????
  • No specified campaigns, we’re mostly calling BYU Donors with a few odds and ends sprinkled in (oh my gosh, just typing that made me hungry…I’m so hungry, you guys.), so stay on your toes for BYU Hawaii, Law School and LDSBC.
  • New Callers! I’ve just received word that we’ll be hiring approximately 17 new callers. They will be great. Make sure to help them out when you can.
  • PS, did you hear about Christine and Julia being on leadership? I’m pumped. I’m sure you are too. They are probably scared and overwhelmed. Okay. That’s enough time discussing our feelings.

*That cake looks delicious. I’ve been thinking about cake all day.
